PECT
PECT
A transformational new WordPress website for an inspirational charity that delivers environmental projects, education, and events.
Peterborough Environment City Trust approached us to rethink their online presence. Looking to modernise the brand identity, PECT was born – with a digital platform that allows them to grow their marketing reach, deliver charitable objectives, and attract funding.

Engagement as a priority
PECT wanted to engage with the public in new ways. We opened up their site to public submission, and also created a dynamic volunteer centre. Emphasis was on fundraising and donations, volunteer recruitment and getting audiences involved.
WordPress development
The PECT website uses best-practice WordPress development techniques to deliver an SEO optimised, fast and secure website, with fully customised administration tools. As standard, we handled all content migration from an existing CMS.
Custom design
We worked with PECT to create a bespoke design that defined and relaunched their brand, starting with user stories, wireframing, information architecture planning and on to the creative design phase.
Interactive timeline
The site includes an interactive timeline showing the charity’s 25-year legacy, with photography and further information on the impact of actions. An interactive search component was added to allow site visitors to navigate according to their needs.
We've worked with the Free Thinking Design team for over the last 5 years, and they manage several of our websites.
The team are always on hand for any queries or questions that we have regarding our sites, as well as offering new ideas to ensure we are providing an excellent user journey.
We would recommend working with Free Thinking Design for a well-designed, professional, functional website and great customer service.
